“OLTCA welcomes today’s Ontario Government’s Speech from the Throne. The Ontario government has made historic commitments to increase hours of direct care for residents, rebuild outdated homes, and to create new spaces to meet the growing population of Ontario’s seniors.
Ontario’s long-term care homes are committed to working with the Ontario government and other partners on solutions to the severe workforce shortage across the health system and ensuring that Ontario’s seniors have the quality of care and living they deserve. This requires a coordinated, system-wide response.
OLTCA looks forward to continuing its collaborative work with leaders across government to transform seniors’ care to reflect the diverse needs of older Ontarians.”
